Shinrin Spa Ho Chi Minh – Scalp Massage, Hair Wash & Family-Friendly Review
Shinrin Spa is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, just a 5-minute walk from major attractions such as the Central Post Office, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Independence Palace.
I visited the spa on the first official sightseeing day after arriving from Mui Ne. What I was most excited about was the chance to relax in a luxurious and spotless spa with truly professional service.
That morning, after visiting the Pink Church and having coffee at Cong Café, we took a taxi to Shinrin Spa. It was easy to find—just search “Shinrin Spa” on Grab and you’ll be dropped off right near the entrance. The spa is located inside a small alley but is very easy to spot.
Since this was a big family trip with my parents-in-law and sister-in-law, I had to be especially careful choosing a spa. Traveling with elders means finding a place with gentle, high-quality service and a comfortable environment.
In conclusion: Shinrin Spa is a place I highly recommend for family trips in Ho Chi Minh City, especially if you’re traveling with parents.
My 4-year-old child was also able to receive the service with us.
If you're looking for a kids-friendly scalp massage or shampoo spa near the Independence Palace or the Central Post Office, Shinrin Spa is worth considering.
My kid even tried ear-cleaning during this trip – a fun and unique experience!
During our week in Vietnam, we went for massages almost daily, but very few places provided a detailed checklist for customers like Shinrin Spa. It showed how much they tailor their service to each guest.
We chose the Scalp Massage + Body Massage combo, which I highly recommend!
This is also a program many Korean visitors choose, and after experiencing it myself, I completely understand why.
The entire session lasted around 105 minutes.
The scalp-care room had professional scalp spa machines, and the cooling massage was heavenly.
The spa has three machines, so our family rotated—three people started with scalp care while the others received body massage first.
Be sure to make a reservation in advance.
After the scalp massage, I moved to the second floor for the body massage. They provided clothes, a foot bath, snacks, watermelon, and water—perfect for relaxing before the session. If you’ve had massages before, you know the feeling: not painful, but incredibly relieving.
That was exactly the experience at Shinrin Spa.
The therapist’s skills, the facilities, and the service—all three were excellent.
If someone asks whether I’d revisit Shinrin Spa on my next trip to Ho Chi Minh City or recommend it to friends, my answer is yes, absolutely!
Compared to Mui Ne, Shinrin Spa is much more luxurious and well-maintained.
