Shinrin Spa full-course healing with shampoo and full-body massage all at once
The best thing about living in Ho Chi Minh is that it’s easy to get massages.
I have a local membership at a massage shop I go to every week, but on weekends, I usually go out to District 1, 2, or 3, so I often look for massage shops in those areas and visit them.
This time, I went to Shinrin Spa, which offers a Korean package
When you get off Grab, it’s easy to walk over.
There’s a signboard, and inside, the spacious shop stands out clearly
I really liked that the inside of the shop was bright and well-lit.
Water bottles and cups are provided on the table so you can drink water
Thanks to the menu written in Korean, it was easy to choose.
Since there are many Korean tourists in the area, there was a special Korean package.
Korean Package includes:
- 60 minutes of body-focused treatment
- 45 minutes of scalp shampoo care
- Set meal provided
- Video viewing available
Even if your child doesn’t want to get a massage, it’s a good place to wait together.
Those familiar with Korean-style service will understand—every little detail here was really impressive.
Especially for people like me who usually care a lot about scalp health, this package is perfect. Many places only offer body-focused treatments, but here, scalp massage and shampoo are included, which made it even more satisfying.
When they check so thoroughly before the massage, they understand which areas you want to focus on more and pay special attention, so I think it’s better.
We went upstairs and entered the massage room.
It wasn’t just a regular bed — it was a folding bed, and they even had a beam projector set up. As we walked in, we kept saying ‘Wow, wow!
The session started with a warm foot bath to lightly warm up!
The best part was that you could enjoy the foot bath right on the massage bed. Without having to move, you can sit and soak your feet, so there’s no wasted time and the flow was convenient. The water temperature was just right, and the scent was subtle, making me feel good from the very start.
While enjoying the foot bath, I happily ate the snacks provided with the Korean package. The whole setup was really nice, wasn’t it?
The therapist touched softly and carefully without applying excessive pressure, so it wasn’t uncomfortable at all, and I felt my muscles slowly relaxing. The clothes had back buttons, making them easy to change into, and when I turned over, they even provided a neck pillow and an eye mask, so I could lie down very comfortably
Hani prefers foot massages over full-body treatments, and at Shinrin Spa, instead of separating the space, they adjusted the chair angles so you can watch TV while getting a foot massage. Since the child didn’t get bored, I was able to focus on my care with peace of mind. Thanks to the comfortable atmosphere, we could both fully enjoy our healing time.
The shampoo care takes place after moving down to the lower floor
After refreshing the scalp with a cooling shampoo cleanse, they treated it gently without irritation, so even though I had just woken up from a good sleep, I almost dozed off again during the treatment
(Hani fell asleep)
At the end, my scalp felt completely clean, leaving me feeling very refreshed.
There are many places in Ho Chi Minh where you can get a scalp massage, but I felt that places with this kind of Korean-style attention to detail are rare. For those like me who live locally, accessibility and the reliability to visit regularly are also important, and SHINRIN SPA fulfilled all of those aspects.
The restroom is also very clean, haha.
On weekends or after work, it’s the perfect choice when you want proper healing not too far away. They even offer a full-course care that includes shampoo and ear cleaning, so it’s great to choose the package you want!
With my body and mind feeling much lighter, the good feeling lasted well into the next day
